Our History

The BMarc School of Driving was founded 13 years ago by now-retired Whitehall Police Officer, Bruce Marchetti. While in his profession as a police officer, known to his students and their parents as “Officer Bruce”, he worked closely with students in the Baldwin-Whitehall school district as their D.A.R.E Officer.  During that time, through discussions with students, as well as their parents, he saw the need for assistance, knowledge, and hands-on behind-the-wheel training. It soon became apparent that there was a need, and I desire to use his knowledge and experience to help anyone wishing to learn the proper and safest way to operate a motor vehicle.

Initially while maintaining his duties as a police officer, “Officer Bruce” began taking college courses suited to help him begin the transition of becoming a driving instructor, and towards his ultimate goal of one day owning his own driving school conveniently located in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh.

Through hard work, determination, and accreditation Bruce obtained his goal and now, with his team of instructors, provides many students (new and senior) with the skills and confidence required on today’s ever changing roadways.
